Meet the king of chilli pastes. Our Sambal is slow-cooked with red chillies, garlic and shrimp paste (belacan), finished with a touch of palm sugar for depth and sweetness. The result is bold, fiery and deeply savoury with just the right hint of sweetness.

Use it while cooking to build layers of heat into fried rice, noodles or curries, or add a spoonful on top as the ultimate finishing touch. From morning eggs to laksa, it transforms the everyday into something unforgettable.

Warning: it is seriously hot and seriously addictive. At Mei Mei, we believe you can never have too much sambal, and once you taste it you will understand why.

Ingredients: Banana Shallots (41%), Palm Sugar, Red Dutch Chilli (10%), Dried Arbol Chilli (8%), Rapeseed Oil, Tamarind Paste [Tamarind, Water], Shrimp Paste (5.2%) [Cornflour, Salt, Shrimp (Crustaceans)], Kemiri Nuts (Tree Nuts), Garlic (3.6%), Lemon Grass.
