Ordering

How do I place an order on your website?

Once you've placed your items in the basket/cart, head over to checkout where the Shopify Shop Pay checkout system will be enabled.

Mei Mei products are also available at the restaurant and you can select the option to pay now and collect in store. Soon we will be appearing at national retailers, so please check back soon for the shop list nearest you!

Can I modify or cancel my order after it has been placed?

Please get in contact with us using the email on our contact page and we will do everything possible to assist you with your request to amend or cancel the order.

What payment methods do you accept (e.g., credit card, PayPal, gift cards)?

All major Credit and Debit cards, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Klarna. 

What is your return or exchange policy?

At Mei Mei Goods, we are committed to providing the highest quality products and customer service. However, since our sauces are food products, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges.

If there is an issue with your order, such as a delivery problem or a concern with the product you received, please contact us. We are happy to work with you to make things right.

Some of your items are out of stock, when will you be restocking?

We are a small family run team, so please be patient while we restock our shelves. In the meantime, sign up for the back in stock notifcations or SMS marketing to find out when any item is back so you don't miss out.

What is the order cut off for same day dispatch?

Orders placed by 1pm will be dispatched the same day. Therefore if you select FedEx next day delivery by 1pm and you have received confirmation of your order, then the order will be dispatched to arrive the next day.

Alternatively, if you order by 1pm and select Royal Mail 48hr tracked, the order will be dispatched the same day and will arrive 2 days later.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to the UK. Order requests outside of those countries are handled on a case–by–case basis.Contact us for more info. 

How is my order shipped?

Orders are packed and shipped according to your chosen shipping method and order. We offer Royal Mail Tracked (1-3 Business Days) or FedEx for orders over 3 kilograms weight  (1-3 business days).

What do I do if my package is lost, delayed, or arrives damaged?

Contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to work with our fulfilment centre or couriers to resolve any issues.

Can I collect in-store at the restaurant?

YES - please select the option at checkout “PIck up at Mei Mei Restaurant”  Mei Mei is located at Rochester Walk, Borough Market, SE1 9AF.

If the items say "cannot be picked up in store", this is because the stock isn't available in store (it moves fast!).

Where are your ingredients sourced, and are your products organic or locally produced?

We pride ourselves on using the highest quality ingredients. Our products are made in the UK and made with natural ingredients.

What is the shelf life of your products, and how should I store them?

Most Mei Mei sauces have a one year shelf life and an expiration date printed directly onto the bottle. Some of our small batch products like kaya are still undergoing a year long real-time shelf life review so currently they have 3 months shelf life.

Orders placed directly on our website will have the longest shelf life as we produce new batches often and ship our most recent batches for direct online orders.

Do your products contain any common allergens (e.g., nuts, gluten, dairy)?

All ingredients are clearly listed on our product labels and on each product flavour page of our website. Some sauces contain gluten, sulfites, shellfish, and dairy, depending on the product.

Please note our production kitchen for the sambal, kaya and chilli oils handles nuts, sesame, shellfish, gluten (wheat and barley), soya, eggs and dairy, therefore is a possibility of traces.

How often do you restock items that are currently listed as "Out of Stock"?

We try to restock as soon as possible. Some products have a complex cooking process and are still made by Chef Elizabeth herself, so we have to stock these as they come in.

RESTAURANT

Do I need a reservation to dine at the restaurant, and how can I make one?

We operate within Borough Market and currently offer a sit in or takeout business model with no reservations required.

What are your current hours of operation and your policy on last seating?

We operate 6 days a week (Tue-Sun) and in addition we're open every Monday in December plus many bank holidays throughout the year. Please check out our google listing for further info.

Do you offer takeout or delivery services from the restaurant?

Currently we do not offer delivery services at Borough Market, however you can pre-order and click & collect items from our menu.

Is Uncle Roger still working at the restaurant? :)

Wholesale

Do you supply b2b wholesale?
