CHEF

HI, I'm liz

I cook the food I enjoy the most, nothing bothers me more than bland food...and nothing excites me more than the flavours of my home cooked meals with family, eating in Singapore hawker stalls and watching my Mum cook.

My favourite place to cook is still a busy counter, feeding people fast and making them happy. That's why Mei Mei is still standing - and if a flavour doesn't earn its place, it doesn't go on the dish. The same goes for our sauces.

Now it's your turn to get cooking in your kitchen. You don't need to be a chef to cook like one. Just layer it: a base, some heat, then something on top.

I hope these sauces make your meals more fun and a lot more delicious.

From our kitchen to your pantry :)

ABOUT

Elizabeth Haigh has spent the last decade putting Singaporean food on Britain's map. Born in Singapore and raised in the UK, she swapped architecture school for the kitchen after MasterChef in 2011, trained in some of London's most respected restaurants, and won a Michelin star as head chef of Pidgin in Hackney in 2016.

In 2019 she built Mei Mei in Borough Market and was selected by British Vogue to feature in its historic "Forces for Change" issue, guest-edited by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Named a "Chef to Watch" by the National Restaurant Awards and a guest judge on MasterChef UK, she now shares her cooking with 351,000 followers across Instagram and YouTube as "Auntie Liz".

In 2020 she bottled the flavours that kept her restaurant alive. Today, alongside partner and CEO Renee St John, Mei Mei Goods is a B Corp-certified, Great Taste award-winning range, stocked nationwide with Ocado with more to come soon.
